Sakarya University Department of Business Administration, as one of the first departments of our university, started its academic activities within the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences in the 1993-1994 academic year. It has been continuing to provide education under the umbrella of the Faculty of Business Administration since the 2010-2011 academic year. The "English Business Program" was opened in 2019 and its first students started education. Our AACSB Accreditation process, which documents our international recognition and quality, started in 2013. As a result of hard and disciplined work, we successfully completed the accreditation process in 2022 and were accredited by AACSB. In this way, we have registered that we are among the most qualified business schools in the world.
The sole unchanging fact of today's business world is change. In such situation, processes, methods and strategies of making business have to focus on coping with this change. Increasing business world dynamics require focusing on the management fact with a more flexible and sophisticated approach. With this regard, the main aim of our department is training “managers or manager candidates” who are able to solve the problems encountered in business world via modern management approaches, offer rational and scientific solutions to these problems, move based on scientific data during decision-making process, be armed with the essential knowledge to establish their own businesses and open to modern ideas and developments.
